George, there's the choice module for making such polls. It probably isn't the calendar's responsibility to include this kind of thing, because it would only be applicable to certain events.

However, you can always provide a link to a Moodle choice activity or an external poll in the event.

Sometime in the year 2006, we may also have separate "poll" entities in Moodle, which could then be attached to various things like activities, events, forum discussions, etc. etc.
