how to assign teachers to specific students

i have a moodle course with static course content.

i need different teachers to be able to view the results of their own students but not be able to view others.  At the moment it appears that they can access all users that are on the drop down list.

How do I ensure that the teachers only have access to their own students?

Have a look at the documentation about the Parent_role. That does something like what you are asking for.
