Thank you David! It was so nice to take time to explain step by step. In fact, my problem was that "html editor" is counter-intuitive for me. I knew where to go, what to do, went there, did it. Only I actually did the opposite of what I should have, from what you say. I even took the html editor OFF, thinking that would cause it to only allow wysiwyg. This morning, I went in and changed everything to the opposite of what I thought it should be (I've stopped wondering how it got out of whack in the first place - maybe when I uninstalled Mozilla?) and pow! It worked. When did wysiwyg become html? Thanks again, you've explained where I went wrong and I can be confident the next time I need to make an adjustment.
