Let say we had 3 names in the drop down menu:
Trainer B left and we had to add Trainer D and Trainer E to the list.
SO now our drop down options became
It would seem that the results for Trainer B are now assigned to Trainer C and the results for Trainer C are assigned to Trainer D.
Is that a bug or intentional design solution?
What strategy can you suggest to avoid situations like that and still be able to introduce small edits without loosing the existing data.
Does the feedback module use data in the other question types in the same way it does the drop down menus? In other words, if I have a checkbox list instead of a drop down menu will I have a similar problem that if I add something to the middle of the list all of the data is off?
Are we to understand that you actually changed the names of the options in a multiple option single choice dropdown list question in a Feedback instance after some of the students had started to answer it?
If that is the case, then you should not surprised of the results you are obtaining. That is not a bug in the design of Feedback but only quite normal, expected behavior.
To answer your question #2, other question types would behave the same. And I would add that you would get the same results with any other similar survey software.
This is so obvious that I wonder if I have correctly understood your question(s).
