After successfully installing the book module, my banner and images became blurry. My font also became bigger. I an using a copy of the standard theme for my layout and have version 1.9 of Moodle. Can anybody tell me how to get my layout normal again? Seems to me that it's not reading the styles_fonts.css file correctly or the book module is overriding my styles_fonts.css somehow.

I hope you dont mind me piggy backing your post? But I have the exact same issue, I don't have any images in my book, but the font in the book is way bigger than anywhere else on my website. Anybody have any Idea why, or how we can fix it?

I found it!!! :D
on the server in the "mod" -> "Book" folder, there is a file called "styles.php"
In that file I edited the ".book_content" class by adding "font-size:smaller;"
That did the trick for me, although as far as the fuzzy images are concerned, I'm sorry to say that I don't know how to address that issue.
