Thanks for the quick reply Gordon.
My 1.9.3 install from the same release on my laptop (with xampp) is fine so something couldn't have uploaded properly to the server on our live site. I'll check the file you suggest, but I'm sure that will be it. There has been other problems uploading .js files to the server for some reason.
