check out the 'Compendium' module from Open University, UK. this is an extension module that is not part of the standard moodle - it needs to be plugged in! try this first in a test environment before committing to a production server.

I followed the link, but the description of Compendium outlined it as an individual download (required on each machine), rather than a module. Am I looking at the right product?
