Thanks, Ann. You got me thinking in the right direction. I was looking in all the wrong places! But thanks to Zoe I knew what to look for!

I found the problem. What a bunch of crap was included when I copied from an old FrontPage site. I had 2 copies of the stylesheet in my Moodle front page. I deleted it ALL and everything suddenly worked just fine.
