An instructor here is having a Gradebook issue: he has 140 students and 3 TAs. The TAs are not submitting grades into the course Gradebook at the same time -- one adds grades Monday, one adds them Wednesday, and one waits until Friday to add grades. As a result, some students in the class are able to see their grades earlier than others, and when a student who can see his or her grade tells another student (whose grade is not yet available) that grades are available on the course Moodle page, the instructor gets an e-mail from the student whose grade is not yet available.
Is there any way to hide the grades for a specific assignment from all the students in a course until a specified date? We have been unable to find a Moodle functionality that does this, nor can we find a feasible workaround.
Thanks in advance for your help!
I'm also looking for a solution to this...
Hi Lisa,
Assuming you're using Moodle 1.9, you can set a "Hidden until" date for the assignment by editing the grade item in the gradebook. Please see Grades FAQ for more details.

Is there anything for 1.8.6?
Hi Eric,
Sorry I don't think it's possible to hide entered grades until a specific date in the pre-1.9 Moodle gradebook.

Many thanks, Helen. Unfortunately, we don't have Moodle 1.9 yet, but it's in the works. In the meantime, I guess we'll just have to wait for the new functionality.
Thanks again!
Lisa
