Attached is a Macromedia FLASH demo I have made for teachers at my school.
It shows some of the basic features of the teacher admin area.
It is a work in progress, so feedback is welcome.

Jeff:
Your demo is fantastic! I just downloaded it and i think it´s great, i´d like to use it in my moodle site.
The only problem is that i´m Mexican and some of my teachers don´t speak english, i would like to translate it into spanish, i don´t know if this is possible. I think that would be helpful to other moodle users in Latinoamerica.
Thanx and best regards.
Lalo
Hi Jeff, how would I open the file to view the flash demo? In other words what program do I open the file with. I downloaded it and it opened in notepad.
Thanks,
Robbie
Jeff,
Compliments on your very nice Flash intro to Moodle for teachers.
A suggestion I would make is to break the longer Flash tutorial into several shorter sections such as:
1. Login to Moodle
2. Basic Navigation
3. Choosing and configuring 3 basic types of courses
4. Basic teaching tools (i.e. the Add button options) & what they do
5. Uploading Resources & Files
6. Placing resourses in a course
7. Feedback and basic testing
This would let you update the content easier (via shorter modules) and let you place the content in Topics in a Moodle course. But, hey! Thanks for a great start!

I have started to update the demos for 1.3
See the following links for demos
Windows Media File - mjwoodresources.ca/test/accountcreation.wmv
Flash File - mjwoodresources.ca/test/accountcreation.swf
I'm open to suggestions:
1. file format
2. image sizes (600x800 etc)
3. no callouts vs call outs
4. voice over vs no voice
Jeff
I think your format is perfect! Now only the voice is missing. I think a voice commentary would be much preferable over callouts because with callouts the user has to read the callouts and therefore has no time to take in the rest of the screen.
How did you make this flash file? Is it something I could do myself?
We made some similar tutorials for the NY State Council for the Social Studies site. They can be found here: http://www.nyscss.org/netspace/course/view.php?id=24 login as guest. We used Camtasia to build them, quite easily too. Info on Camtasia is here: http://www.techsmith.com/products/studio/default.asp. We decided not to do voice overs, although the software allows this without complication.

Sure
Jeff
I used Camtasia Studio 2 (like Jeffrey - must be a Jeff thing ).
I have also used Robodemo (works well for callouts). I will try and do some voice overs over the next week or so... think I would like to have James Earl Jones do it!!
Tnx for feedback
Jeff
Can't find the attached file or link. Can you help me?
Thanks
