I wanted to follow up with more detail, to know exactly where the problem is.
First, we just upgraded to the most recent stable build of 1.7.5+. And after the upgrade, all of my beautiful equations "disappeared." They are still properly entered if I edit the resource/post, but in the page/forum itself there is a space.
I ran this "http://-our moodle server-/filter/tex/texdebug.php". And every time I get the following error message.
DB cache_filters entry for \frac{x}{y} not found
-or-
sh: /usr/moodle/cwa/filter/tex/mimetex.linux: Permission denied
The shell command
"/usr/moodle/cwa/filter/tex/mimetex.linux" -e

I do not have access to the server, since it is hosted off-site. So, while I am asking the host to check permissions on the filter/tex folder, is there anything else I can do from my end to fix this?Try to explain it to a 3rd grader because I am a total n00b.
