The grading interface on our outcome based courses is starting to look a little complicated. With up to 30 outcomes assigned to an assignment the column of grades/outcomes almost fills the height of the screen. On showing it to my department they commented that either the space needed to be used more creatively e.g. multiple columns for the outcomes or that each outcome needed it's own feedback box (plain text) for quick specific feedback. Saving the existing feedback for general feedback on the assignment not on specific outcomes.
The grader report is also a huge page, even using short codes for the outcomes. without the ability to freeze panes like excel I find myself exporting data so that I can look at it more easily even after hiding categories they are taking up a lot of screen space.
Outcomes, clicking on the name of an outcome takes you to the assignment that it can be completed in, it would me more useful to pupil if they could see the outcome description so that they could check up on what they need to do to achieve the outcome.
here are some screen shots that explain it better.
