Help me plan my strategy

Help me plan my strategy

So I just open a very big thing for the community I represent. I am the lead of OpenOffice.org community in Spanish and I just opened a OpenOffice.org University to help people learn the nitty gritty of OpenOffice.org.

However I am having a newbie experience getting used to the modules. I get most of the modules except that I can't really plan a strategy that makes the students don't just read for hours yet get most of the information.

I have got some screen cast and even live classes with wiziq.

But I would want to use more of the moodle tools since I still find myself doing youtube videos and just tools that are not moodle centric.

Please help me get a hold of using Moodle tools.

So far I had used:
- Html
- Forum
- Wiki

I had stop using wiki because is not very good, sorry.

Hi Alexandro

There is plenty of help out there, don't worry.

My staff (and lots of others from around the world) use this to get them started and they seem to be very happy with it:

A collection of short basics on the main Moodle features and modules of Moodle.

Best wishes

I will now shamelessly thank you publically and profusely smile - I actually used a lot of your tutorials recently to deliver a teacher training session focussing on Moodle, and they were fabulous!

Another thing I found very useful were the videos on "How can Moodle change a school" (Part 1 - http://www.teachertube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=9ec05515966ba0fe3e5d; Part 2 - http://www.teachertube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=d93a510ea9bd337a4d14)
- I thought it was very important for the teachers to consider not only the technical aspects of different aspects of Moodle functionality, but also to consider the "softer side" of what can make the introduction of something like Moodle sink or swim.

Many thanks for your wonderful efforts, which were enormously appreciated by both myself and also the trainees! wink
