How do you allow students to view ALL journal entries in a (read-only) permission for a specific Course that they're enrolled in?

Hi Elizabeth,

I don't know how to do that except to give all students permission to act as teachers in the journal activity. You would need to read up on changing the role permissions in Moodle to do that.

If you want all students to see the entries, I recommend using the Forum Module instead.

Hi Elizabeth, You should be able to override the member permissions so they can see all the journal entries.

However, I don't see a Journal section in the Override area. So, it may be a little trial and error to find out which permission to change.

I am actually trying to figure out how to override the non editing teachers ability to see all journal entries. Our journals are kept private for our members but we have someone overseeing that area for questions, etc.

If you click Assign Roles
then override permissions
then members

then search the options available for "viewing"

If I find which one in the next few minutes I will come back and post.
