My users all have student-type access to all courses and quizzes.
The users are organised into multi-level heirarchies. The heirarchies are not symmetrical. Some users might be in a two-layer heirarchy. That fits neatly into the Moodle mould.
But others might be 5 or 6 layers down from the top.
It's the normal rulebase: each node - a manager, say - needs to be able to see what's goin' on below him/her. No user is allowed to see the results in any parallel structure, or above them.
I'm sure this is a very common issue. Do/how do you other Moodlers handle it in vanilla Moodle? Are there 3rd party extensions that do this, and what are they?
