Has anyone created a modification to the assignment submission process to shoot an email back to the student?
By default, the recipient gets an email, but not the sender.

I've had a look at the code, it looks easy enough to do. I won't have time til next week, but I'll have a go seeing as more than one person is interested.

Just to say that I'm very interested in this too. When I asked students what they thought about electronic submission via Moodle the most common complaint was that they didn't get an electronic receipt.

I too would be very interested in Moodle being able to generate assignment receipts - keep me posted.
