Im trying to find the best way to do the following BEFORE I go about writing a module...
I have an non-web application in development. This application has a student fill out a report, and we would like to submit that report to the LMS. We are not tracking objectives, just the completion/submission of a report. Afterwards, the instructor will be able to review the reports, and share them with the class, and other classes.
In short: Student finishes non-web lesson, writes a report about the lesson, hits submit, types the username/password/class/section, and ____________. The end result is that the data is captured for the student and can be reviewed.
The hack-ish way is to create a module that calls the auth mechanisms, looks up the course, and writes the data to a seperate table. Maybe thats not the hackish way, but it seems rather brute force.
