This is my first post. I'm currently designing an online course. I was thinking about adding the COLLES survey. However, it happens that my online course is only 5 weeks long, so personally I do not think it makes much sense to apply the COLLES (preferred) then the COLLES (actual), because the lenght of time is just too short.
That's why we would like to apply a single COLLES at the end of the course. The information we get will be very helpful for future courses. The problem is that the language is written in present form, while for the end of the course I think the best would be if it's written in past tense. For instance:
"In this online unit my learning was focused on issues that interest me"
"In this online unit my learning focuses on issues that interest me."
(english is not my mother tongue, so maybe there are some mistakes, but I guess you guys understand what I mean).
My question is:
¿It's possible to take the survey and change the words to past tense and then build it with the quizz module?
We have two commons: english is not my mother tongue and this is also my first post!
I suppose my answer has been sent rather late, but as I had the same problem with you, I checked out the relative forum (about surveys module) and I found that the solution is the questionnaire (from Moodle contribute code).
See also the relative documentation in http://docs.moodle.org/en/Questionnaire_module
another solution (which will keep the nice graphs you have with this survey) is to edit your language pack in survey.php and rewrite the questions in your mother tongue as you would like to be written (and in full association with the original questions). This way you'll keep also the originality of the research which has been done for the COLLES survey.
