This may be out of reach or completely wrong. I have setup Moodle for upcoming new schools in New York City and one of the items we are looking at this week is e-mail services. Since everyone likes to have it easy, I was wondering if there was some crazy way to send e-mail externally through a Moodle interface when signed in as that user and then have any incoming e-mails sent through to the database of that user so it shows up when the person logs in again. Sorry for the run on sentence.
I already have the private messaging contrib installed and working great since John Papaioannou just updated the neccessary file. Thats what brought me to the question above. If students and teachers could have an option to either private message or send and receive to external e-mail from one interface.
