For some reason I am unable to edit an existing assignment result in one of my courses once a coment has been added there is no longer an otion to edit the grade or comment.
Where can I edit the setting that is locking the result?

Hi Guy,
Are you using Moodle 1.9 and have you added grades or comments directly in the gradebook, rather than on the assignment submissions page? If so, you can still edit grades and comments in the gradebook.

Yes I do have 1.9 and I have edited the results in the gradebook. I think that is what killed the ability to do it from the assignments page. It’s very strange, any existing result that existed before I used the gradebook has been locked from editing in any other way. If I enter a new result and comment I still have the ability to edit!
If possible I would like to be able to regrade from the assignments page.

That worked well (I knew it would be simple) it seems that when you edit one result in the grade book all existing grades are locked.
Thanks again you've saved me pulling out the remainder of my hair.
