I am trying desperately to get MikTex working with Moodle, but am having no luck.  I following the suggestions in this post but it appears that Moodle is still trying to use mimetex to render.  Can anyone help shed some light on what I may be doing wrong?  Some more background:
  1. I was able to get mimetex to work only after allowing Users to execute cmd.exe (I read this tip in another post, but I prefer not to do that since this is a security risk.)  Is changing the permissions of cmd.exe necessary to get MikTex working as well?
  2. Is php_perl.dll needed to get this working?  If so, where do I find it?

Thanks,

Nikkol
