We use Moodle for our college intranet as well as our main moodle site. It works very well after various hacks.
I need a temporary solution as single sign on will solve this, but I want to get that working on our main servers before the intranet which is currently on Moodle 1.8
I want users to be able to login as 'students' without the need of any login or password. I have guest set up for the whole site, but would like to bypass the need for logging in as guest or as a generic user, which I currently use (with the 'Would you like to logon to this course' setting commented out. )
Administrators and teachers would still need to login.
There was an intranet verion of 1.6, but this did not allow permissions for various different users. (or I could not get it to)
It may not be possible and it is only a temporary solution, but help much appreciated.
