I am also a student doing CeLDD and could see that with the nature of unit standards as on-going assessments broken up into "bits" students could post their "contribution" online insted of doing portfolios. I am currently teaching Drama where students have to contribute to a group devising (making up) plan so many times. Moodle would be a great way of having each students work in one place rather than hundreds of bits of paper that get lost, squashed, ripped etc. There seems to be no way of losing anything online. In addition, with the recent flu outbreak, both teachers and students are having to stay away from school. If everythin was on Moodle, as long as they had internet access, students could still contibute to the lesson/group work.

So, Moodle would be a great tool for group work where everyone would have to contribute regardless of where they were.
