while on my other install (same server) the file does not display correctly
Themes make no difference.
Thanks in advance,
The only difference I can see is that the first file does not have stylesheets in header tags but the second one takes css from tags
You see first the version without style sheet styles.
Thanks for pointing that out. The second course had a set theme (solstice) but removing this doesn't correct issue.
Both sites are set to use the same theme (solstice) and appear identical in ever way except for the links to local html files.
I've hunted through my moodle and cannot find any setting.
I opened both files and saved the source code as a new html document and tested both files on my local test moodle PC. Maybe your files have the same name but they are simply different (the header code).
When I added a link to a file as a new resource they both worked as your files - the first one without style sheet links and the second one with style sheet links in source code.
Both files originated from the same file (I uploaded the same file to two different locations).
I downloaded both your files (jeff1 & jeff2) and viewed them on my local machine and both files appear different (one correct with yellow background and correct table the other white with improper table).
I then uploaded both jeff1 & jeff2 back into my moodle install, now BOTH are displaying incorrectly.
I uploaded both file to my other moodle install and both appear properly.
Can moodle be modifying my html??
The offending moodle install is in the root directory of the server... does/can this have an effect?
I really appreciate all your help.
