One of the topics involved keeping attendance on Moodle. I have used this feature previously in Moodle designed online classes as an instructor. The feature is invaluable in a face to face class but in a totally online class, the assignments are the basis. It depends on whether attendance is mandatory and the class is a support for the face to face in a blended model or the class is completely on line. The flexibility and versitility of Moodle makes it an outstanding environment that the novice as well as the professionals can use effectively.
