Bigint_ and Bigsum_

Hi all,

I've set up the TeX filter and am trying to use the expression on http://demo.moodle.org/mod/resource/view.php?id=11

ie.

\Bigsum_{i=\1}^{n-\1}\frac1{\Del~x}\Bigint_{x_i}^{x_{i+\1}}\{\frac1{\Del~x}\big[(x_{i+1}-x)y_i^{5$\star}\big]-f(x)\}^\2dx

However when I use texdebug it comes out like this:

texdebug.gif
It is missing the large integral symbol and sum symbol. Is there some additional configuration I need to add to the TeX preamble to get those symbols to work?

Thanks
Ashley

Works ok on my test server and PC without any additional configuration. Do you have any other filters on? Is your moodle using some custom tex files or files of moodle?

$$ \Bigsum_{i=\1}^{n-\1}\frac1{\Del~x}\Bigint_{x_i}^{x_{i+\1}}\{\frac1{\Del~x}\big[(x_{i+1}-x)y_i^{5$\star}\big]-f(x)\}^\2dx $$

I'm using a plain install and have had that error on several servers, all running CentOS. The docs pages all have examples for Debian, so maybe it's a packaging problem? I can't find Bigsum and Bigint in the TeX documentation though

hmm, are u sure there is a \Bigint in LaTeX (TeX) ?
Normal \sum works perfectly fine, using \Bigsum gives:
! Undefined control sequence.
l.8 $ \biggl[\Bigsum
 _i a_i\Bigl\lvert\sum_j x
