Message: Attendance has not started yet for this course

I have installed the last version of attendance in moodle 1.9.1.  I add the activity to the course and I have created a session.

When the student click the activity the following message is shown Attendance has not started yet for this course

What I need to do to resolve this issue.

Are you using auto attendance, or regular attendance?

I get these hits when searching for the error message you mention. They mostly seem to do with the auto attendance block. You might see if any of them suggests a solution.

I am using the attendance plug in that is published in the moodle plug in site (http://moodle.org/mod/data/view.php?d=13&rid=1062)

I have checked this on our 1.9 instance. I get the same error message UNTIL such time as I, as instructor, have recorded attendance at least once. Then, when logged in as a student, the error message is replaced with an attendance report.

Maybe you set it all up, but since it was just a test, you never actually recorded attendance for any of the students? You might check. I have done that before, and Dmitry had to laugh at me!
