Avoid confirmation email

Avoid confirmation email

Hi there,

in the Moodle docs I read the following regarding internal enrollment:
A trick to avoid the confirmation message is to make a link to the course with '&confirm=1' on the end after enrol.php e.g. http://moodle.org/course/enrol.php?id=50&confirm=1 Which will take you straight to the course page and enrol you transparently.

Can somebody explain this to me a little bit more detailed?

Thank you

A short explanation: Moodle runs in PHP. PHP can communicate with other PHP webpages by including arguments in the URL. In this case, enrol.php is receiving another argument as "&confirm=1" - which tells it to confirm the user currently logged in.

I will look into this and report my findings. Thanks for the great find!

Have any more experienced Moodlers used this "&confirm=1" method to make confirmation transparent? Please post your experiences and tips here.

I have just tried to add this to a link of mine within my theme, no joy though.

I would love to know if people have got around this message. The main concern here is that people would be put off with a confirmation message!!!!
