Could not start a new user!

I just downloaded the latest tgz (nightly build) of moodle and I can't seem to add a new user.  It says "Could not start a new user!

Here are some version information:

MySQL Version - 11.18 Distrib 3.23.53a, for pc-linux-gnu (i686)
PHP Version - 4.2.3
Apache Version - Apache/1.3.27 (Unix)
Moodle Version - 2003032602 (nightly tgz downloaded April 11, 2003 4:00PM EDT)

Everything else looks good.  Database upgrade went smoothly and nobody has complained yet.  smile

It seems like the entry for the username "changeme" has disappeared from the mdl_user so I added it back and this seems to have solved the problem.  smile
