Position Summary:

The Learning Management System (LMS) Coordinator works closely with ASA staff and internal and external customers as the front-line customer resource for the Learning Platform (LMS and LXP) and supports the learning platform's day-to-day operation, including assembling, entering, and maintaining content, troubleshooting technical issues, and producing system reports.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

·       Coordinates available resources to support the configuration of courses to include a variety of content (text, audio, video, graphics, animation, and interactive simulation) and learning activities (discussion board, Zoom interactions). Provides support for the development of the rapid prototype and assists in debugging the program through alpha and beta testing.

·       Provides administrative and technical support for the learning platform, generally focusing on tier 2 level support for end-users' support and internal teams. Track all user support requests within the learning platform and manage trouble tickets to closure. Escalate identified issues to appropriate management or appropriate vendor as needed.

·       Administers enrollments and content updates through the learning platform.

·       Maintains LMS production calendar.

·       Work with LMS team to maintain the learning platform and support upgrades, customizations, and integrations.

·       Run reports and analyze platform and course-level data for stakeholder review.

·       Supports the development, implementation, and enforcement of the digital learning standards to achieve a consistent look-and-feel for the users.

·       Maintains technical documentation, and development schedules.


Position Qualifications:

·       Associate’s degree or Educational Technology or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

·       Minimum 2 years of experience with administration support or course development on virtual learning platforms, Moodle/Totara experienced preferred.

·       Basic HTML, XML, CSS, skills desirable including MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Teams, are needed. Experience administering learning platforms with 10,000+ registered users is a plus.

·       Experience in industry-standard course authoring tools, graphics media, audio, animation, and video production tools.

·       Experience with Learning Management Systems and/or Association Management Systems software preferred.

·       Proactive approach with administering and improving learning platform to assure good performance and optimize learning experiences.

·       Proficient in managing LMS roles, privileges, and domains for administrators, designers, instructors, and students to ensure a secure learning environment.

·       Sound administrative strategies and tactics that promote excellence in responsibilities.

·       Excellent writing and communication skills.

·       Ability to work on multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
