What your new job can look like…

The Moodle Academy Learning and Media Technologist will work closely with the Moodle Academy team to produce media, courses and events delivered through the Moodle Academy website. They will be responsible for working with community members and sponsors to create engaging content for the Moodle Academy.

With the pace of Moodle, no two days will ever be the same! But most days will involve a mix of:

  • Produce high-quality videos and other media from existing and new recordings.
  • Source suitable open-source media for inclusion in media and courses.
  • Add titles, animations, transitions, effects and sounds to videos and export and publish these online, as part of the end-to-end post-production process.
  • Run post-production processes on audio and video to achieve the best quality possible.
  • Record, edit and publish audio podcasts.
  • Record webinars and support others to use webinar technology.
  • Work with community members to build short and longer courses on Moodle Academy.
  • Contribute to the identification and testing of existing Moodle plugins, or the scoping of new plugins, to support the activities of the Moodle Academy.
  • Run Quality Assurance checks and resolve any issues from a set checklist.
  • Run ABC Learning Design workshops with community members.
  • Ad hoc marketing and events support (such as marketing and scheduling Moodle events).

We'd love to meet you…

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

  • Demonstrated experience in Learning Technology and media production roles.
  • Experience using Moodle and media production tools.
  • Social media experience.
  • Outstanding organisation, exceptional attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across the world.
  • Ability to work independently where required and accept responsibility for work tasks.
