What your new job can look like…

With the pace of Moodle, no two days will ever be the same! But most days will involve a mix of:

  • Working within a small agile team
  • Digging into Moodle code, AWS cloud infrastructure and PostgreSQL databases to improve performance, help diagnose and fix issues, and recommend improvements
  • Writing PHP and Python code to help build the next version of our backend
  • Collaborate with Moodle LMS team on MoodleCloud-related issues
  • Collaborating closely with teammates to implement new features for MoodleCloud
  • Working on a product that directly generates revenue for an amazing open source project

Requirements

We'd love to meet you…

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

  • Proven experience with PHP and Python
  • Friendly, approachable and fun communication style that earns trust and credibility
  • Enthusiasm for both team play and deep dives into solo work
  • Pride in setting realistic targets that you can achieve under pressure
  • Experience working in an organisation where software is the product
  • Experience with high scale, clustered web application infrastructure
  • Experience developing for Moodle

  • PHP, Python, SQL
