We are looking for Developers with strong Moodle, PHP and MySQL experience to join our Platforms team based at our office in Bloomington.
Essential
- Proven technical capability, having online code for review in services such as GitHub is a plus
- Ability to work within a team under direction from Leader Developer and Technical Manager
- Sound knowledge of PHP
- Understanding of advanced JavaScript concepts i.e. closures and JavaScript specific patterns
- Self-motivated, capable of learning quickly and reacting to a world of ever evolving technologies
- Have real enthusiasm and passion for development, and be proud of your work.
- Ability to liaise with other departments at all levels
- Strong JavaScript OO understanding and experience
- Experience with Git, pull request workflow and git-flow
- Familiarity with Scrum methodology
- Minimum 1-2 years experience developing web content in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS in a commercial environment
- HTML 5, CSS 3, DOM manipulation, UI patterns
Desired
- Experience with NPM, NodeJS and WebPack
- Sound understanding of new application frameworks like ReactJS, Flux and Angular
- Experience deploying and optimising responsive applications for mobile experience
