Job offered: Lead Moodle developer

University of California, San Diego seeks a PHP programmer and technical lead for our transition from Blackboard to the Moodle LMS (Learning Management System).  

Please note that this full-time career position requires relocation to San Diego, CA, and we cannot sponsor visas for foreign applicants. 

This position will lead development, deployment, maintenance, customization, and extension of large-scale, mission-critical e-learning applications including user interfaces, LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability), relational database components, and security, with a strong emphasis on the Moodle open source learning management system (LMS), using modern Internet languages and technologies including PHP, Javascript, AJAX, and REST.

This position has a strong focus on open source development and requires commitment to involvement with the Moodle development community, including making local customizations and facilitating their adoption by the Moodle community into future releases.
