An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Software Developer to join the e-Learning Team at the University of Bath. You will be supporting the University’s virtual learning environment (Moodle), and its integrated services and various pilot projects, all of which contribute directly to the enhancement of the student learning experience.
Working within a team-based approach to achieve the technical delivery of e-learning innovations, a key part of the role will involve understanding academic and administrative requirements and tailoring solutions to meet these requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong PHP coding skillsand a good understanding of databases.
Thinking strategically about e-learning software development and implementation, you will be expected to support the e-Learning Team’s Senior Developer in transitioning the University’s Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) to an externally hosted provider, in ways which will complement the University’s digital environment.
This post is offered as a 12 months fixed term contract commencing as soon as possible.
