The Department of Learning Technologies and Online Education at Plymouth State University invites applications for the position of Instructional Technologist. This position provides primary support for Moodle and the faculty who use it to appropriately and effectively integrate instructional technology with teaching and learning.
Our ideal candidate profile will include…
Experience and/or course work in instructional technology and experience in providing instructional technology support at a college or university. Candidates with Moodle administrator experience will be given preference.
Experience training users individually and within group settings; experience with a wide variety of instructional technologies; and the ability to understand and present complex technical issues to those with varied technological skill sets.
The ability to effectively work autonomously and as a member of a team. Excellent writing, editing, and public-speaking skills as well as some experience in project planning and project management are important. Excellent customer service skills, the ability to adapt to changing technologies, changing priorities and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once are essential.
You may be a fit for this position if you possess the following required minimum qualifications:
Minimum of two years of Moodle administrator experience
Experience with technology workshop development, help documentation development, and integrating technology in educational settings to enhance teaching and learning
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms
Ability to effectively communicate technical information to users having a wide variety of technical skill sets
