Senior PHP Developer

As one of the UK’s leading custom e-learning development houses, we’ve got over 20 years’ experience in e-learning design and development for an international set of blue chip customers.

Our client’s development team is in demand and are looking for a Senior Developer to join their fast paced, dynamic Nottingham based team.

Candidates will need to have Moodle / Totara experience.

Full time – 40 hours per week Monday – Friday.

To start ASAP

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

You will be involved with customising Moodle and Totara Learning Management Systems, working with supporting technologies to meet their client’s requests.

You will also build plugins and enhancements, fixing bugs and implementing 3rd party system integrations.

As a Senior Developer you will have had experience with taking the lead on complex projects where you will be expected to provide technical leadership.

Skills and experience needed:

  • Developing in HTML, CSS, Javascript/jQuery

  • PHP 5

  • Opensource databasese – mySQL, PostgreSQL

  • Moode or Totara

  • Linux, Apache

  • GIT

You will also be an expert at object-orientated programming, with knowledge about web technologies and web systems integration. You will be skillful at producing clean, robust and reusable code, interested in raising professional standards and supportive of other developers in their work. You will have enthusiastic about open-source technologies.

Our client is seeking a highly self-motivated individual with bags of enthusiasm and willing to work on technically challenging projects with demanding time scales. Along with great organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
