Job offered: Moodle 2 Theme design/development

Type: Contract
Location: Australia or New Zealand Telecommute

This is a call for professional contractors, not for employees.

The Australian Institute of Social Relations is a not for profit training organisation that provides training to the Health and Human Services sector.

We will be upgrading our Moodle site from Moodle 1.9x to Moodle 2.1 and need some themes upgraded, some re-worked and re-designed as well as an icon set (one outside of Moodle to use for navigation/visual reference) and a mobile moodle theme customised to our colour palette.

I've put together what I hope is a reasonably detailed brief that includes input from both the training and marketing departments. The work entailed will involve both technical and design skills.

Whoever is selected MUST provide regular updates on progress, be available for the occassional phone call and be well versed in WCAG AA guidelines as well as the technical aspects of Moodle and have a reasonable talent for design.

We'd expect that work would be tested in multiple browsers and Operating Systems.

Our primary target market are government employees, lawyers and counsellors in both private practice and not for profits - so chances are there will be quite a few who are going to be using Internet Explorer as their browser and still using Windows XP as their OS.  Firewalls? Oh yeah. They'll have those.

If you are interested in receiving a copy of the design brief, please send an email to me at k.johnson@rasa.org.au (NOT a message through this site)  Please submit quotes by Friday, 26 August.
