1. Job Purpose

Enovation Solutions has built up a successful business in Ireland and abroad providing expert consultancy and solutions implementation to the Education, Training and Research communities. We primarily work with open source solutions - including Moodle, Mahara, Alfresco, Joomla, JasperReports, DSpace, ePrints and Fedora – and provide the full range of services in these products.

Recently Enovation have a become Moodle Partner in France and have a number of staff based in France and other locations in Europe. As part of this expansion Enovation wish to employ a French based consultant to help grow our business in France.


2. Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Business Development Director in defining service and product offerings and overall strategy for the Solutions business in France initially and other territories as required.
  • Evangelise Enovation’s offerings to clients through attendance and presentations at seminars, workshops and conferences in France and other locations as required.
  • Follow up sales leads generated through research, marketing activity and referrals and be successful in meeting agreed sales targets.
  • Prepare sales proposals, costings and projections.
  • Evaluate new or proposed products from a business and technical perspective.
  • Analyse clients’ requirements and document these to a level which allows a technical specification to be compiled by the development team.
  • Be involved in the implementation of new systems and/or products to clients as required, and provide customer support within the scope of the role.
  • Provide training to clients in the use of relevant technologies when required.
  • Keep up to date with technology trends within the Education Sector and provide input to Enovation’s education strategy for France and other territories.
  • Organise sales and marketing events, in liaison with Enovation's marketing personnel.


3. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Language Skills - Fluent French and English language skills, with excellent written and spoken ability in both languages, in terms of vocabulary (general and business), grammar, spelling and composition.
  • Sales and Marketing – Minimum 2 to 3 years experience of business development/sales or account management required. Knowledge of the French education market, would be an advantage.
  • IT Knowledge – Must demonstrate the ability and experience to develop an in-depth understanding of the technical environments related to Enovation’s products and service offerings. Should preferably have a background in Open Source technologies; must have a strong understanding of Web 2.0 technology; should have experience of eLearning technology, preferably moodle; familiarity with systems used to support academic research would be a distinct advantage for the role.
  • Presenting – Be experienced and skilled in developing and confidently delivering effective presentations to clients, prospective clients, industry conferences and seminars.
  • Critical Thinking, Analysis and Problem Solving – Demonstrate the ability to analyse information with varying degrees of complexity and provide appropriate feedback/opinion/solutions.
  • Tenacity and Resilience – Demonstrate the capacity to be tenacious and resilient in pursuit of business opportunities and sales.
