£27854 to £36298 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Can you develop innovative, robust and scalable e-learning applications?

We are a creative and talented team providing support to the academic community in the provision of innovative solutions that support teaching and learning throughout the University, including Moodle. We work with a diverse range of project requirements and our work is varied and interesting.

We are seeking an experienced application developer to provide technical development expertise for a suite of learning systems in use at The University of Nottingham. You will play a vital part role in extending the technology enhanced learning provision by taking a user-centred approach to developing tools and services that meet the diverse needs of our user community.

Candidates should have a degree (or equivalent) in an IT related discipline or equivalent experience in a similar/relevant role. Candidates will have proven experience of developing web-based applications in the design, development and maintenance of sophisticated database-backed websites using: PHP; SQL compliant databases; XHTML and CSS. You will also have the ability to grasp new software and other technical procedures quickly and deliver support in a clear and engaging manner to a range of audiences.
