eLearning and Moodle Developer (Full Time)

Improve International - Sheffield/Swindon/Bristol

Job Purpose

Improve International and 5m Publishing are looking for an eLearning and Moodle Developer – Fulltime to assist in the development, creation and support of our Online Learning systems and content. The candidate should have prior experience of working with Moodle as an Administrator and course/content Designer, with CSS and HTML knowledge desirable. Employment for the role will be with Improve International working in their Sheffield, Swindon or Bristol Offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in the administration of various Moodle sites
  • Develop online learning content for the company's various programmes
  • Build and administer Learning Activities and Resources using Moodle or third-party applications such as Articulate Studio, HP5 and Storyline
  • Develop and implement CSS changes to key features of Moodle, such as the Theme, Activities, Quizzes
  • Support in uploading and embedding of multimedia content
  • Take an active interest in new eLearning initiatives, such as HP5 and VR
  • To work as part of a team and meet deadlines
  • To undertake such other tasks as may reasonably be required

Qualifications and Experience

  • A good level of written and verbal English (mandatory)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Moodle
  • Experience of working as a Moodle Administrator
  • Good working knowledge of Articulate Studio and Storyline
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is desirable
  • Experience of developing and supporting Moodle Themes is desirable
  • Knowledge of SCORM packages and LMS integration is desirable
  • Experience of working with Moodle Mobile (App and/or Theme) is desirable
  • Knowledge of PHP within the Moodle environment is desirable
  • Use of project management software is desirable

  • Ability to build and develop relationships at all levels
  • A self-starter comfortable with working remotely and with colleagues in a variety of international locations
  • Self-motivated and autonomous with effective time management abilities
  • Flexible and able to travel nationally and occasionally internationally as required

Location

The successful candidate will have the option of being based in our Sheffield, Swindon or Bristol offices in the UK or in our Porto office in Portugal.
