At LCBT we have
an excellent opportunity for an E-learning content designer.
Working
as the E-learning content designer you will be responsible for creating, developing and assisting
in the maintenance of the College's Visual Learning Environment (VLE) and Moodle. As the
E-learning Content Designer you will also have a lead on creating the College's e-learning
solutions to deliver online learning resources.
The successful
candidates will join our Education and Training Department, which is friendly,
fast paced and an enjoyable team to work within. This department is responsible
for providing a high standard of teaching, learning and assessment, together
with professional development to all learners from a wide variety of
backgrounds. This is done through a wide range of different courses and support
strategies. In order
to achieve high standards all members of the Education and Training Department
are required and encouraged to develop and maintain up to date industry
knowledge through further training and self-development.
Duties
- Using
a variety of web development skills including CSS and HTML you will work within
the boundaries of Moodle to ensure it reflects both the diverse needs of the
College's learners as well as supporting the strategic direction of the College
- Liaise
with subject matter experts to develop e-learning resources supporting the
delivery of both blended and distance learning approaches
- Work
with the Web Co-ordinator to utilise web technologies and approaches such as
JQUERY, HTML5, and Flash frameworks to develop interactive e-learning materials
for use within classroom based learning, Apprenticeships, as well as for Full
Cost delivery courses
- Utilise
software packages such as Storyline, Articulate, and Captivate to enhance the
development of support materials
- Create
Content for Moodle, Website and Intranet using an array of different methods
- Take
a lead role in the designing the College's e-ILP system
- Design
a site which incorporates responsive web design and working with the Web
co-ordinator to ensure this it kept up-to date
Candidates should possess the following or an equivalent:
·Degree level qualification (preferably in
Creative Arts, Graphic design or other Media disciplines)
·Experience of working with a variety of web
design principles such as HTML(5), CSS, PHP, ASP, JQUERY and Adobe suit
·Experience of working within and developing
using the Moodle framework
·Experience of working with young people in both
1:1 and group work settings
·Experience of designing and building web design
applications and materials
·Experience in creating Content for Moodle or
websites
