(Job #14-47) Moodle Support Assistant, Instructional Support Assistant I $2,466--$3,699/month. Appointments are typically made at the beginning of the salary range. This is a full-time, 12 month, benefited, probationary position in Information Technology Services.
Position Summary: The Moodle Support Assistant will help faculty in the preparation of course materials in the campus Learning Management System, Moodle 2.x. The position will be assigned to Information Technology Services and report to the Moodle Support Specialist.
Duties: The Moodle Support Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: work directly with faculty and provide exceptional customer support in assisting them with their course materials in the campus Learning Management System, Moodle; create training materials, guides for Moodle and other documentation as necessary; work closely with the Moodle Support Specialist and other support personnel in the Moodle office; and complete other tasks as assigned by the Moodle Support Specialist. This will involve working in a fast paced environment and collaboration in a courteous, flexible and open manner with faculty and staff.
Minimum Qualifications: Education & Experience: Six months experience preparing and producing instructional materials in digital format. Experience working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience and strong skills in supporting faculty in their use of Learning Management Systems. Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro to create publishable documents with screen captures. Skilled in the use of online communication systems, preferably GoogleApps. Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation, and the ability to work with a positive attitude as a flexible, collaborative, and supportive team member. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Demonstrated experience working effectively with a diverse population.
Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree; experience creating course materials in Moodle 2.x at a Higher Education Institution.
