Job offered: Online Learning Developer

We're currently looking to recruit an Online Learning Developer to join our team to help us develop our commercial E-Learning courses. We're a private training provider and we're growing rapidly. Much of our focus is on developing our E-Learning offering so it's exciting times, as well as great opportunity for someone wanting to develop online courses for the commercial market.

 

We're looking for someone with skills/experience of:

  • developing moodle courses -and a love for moodle itself!
  • working with SMEs to plan and develop structured online courses and content

  • creating media rich content using moodle's native tools, recording  screen casts and lectures (e.g. Camtasia), creating SCORM content (Storyline or Captivate), developing graphics using software such as Photoshop or Illustrator, or using any other tools to develop professional looking content.

  • developing content for multiple devices/ cross browser testing / publishing in HTML5      
  • using forums, social media, virtual classroom/webinar software, or other solutions to create and engage communities of learner's online

  • knowledge of teaching and learning approaches/theories, and their application within E-Learning design - perhaps with previous teaching/ training experience or teaching qualification.
  • managing your workload and meeting project deadlines
  • you must be passionate about E-Learning, and able to communicate and blend well with others.

 

Our head office is in Derby, however we have centres in other areas including Nottingham, Stoke, Bolton, Sheffield, Leeds and Leicester. Therefore the role involves occasional travel, but it's flexible and allows for homeworking too. The pay is competitive but based on experience.
