We are searching for a Community Sites Manager to join our Moodle Community team! (Full details on Workable.)

What your new job can look like…

As Community Sites Manager, you will be proactive in building and enhancing Moodle community engagement in a variety of ways. With the pace of Moodle, no two days will ever be the same!  But most days will involve a mix of:

  • Managing the upgrades and improvements to Moodle.org and related websites using Agile management methodologies.
  • Researching, planning and implementing initiatives for enhancing community engagement.
  • Recognising contributions and finding ways to encourage community contributions, ensuring voices are heard and fostering a positive culture.
  • Creating and supporting community networks, onboarding new members and running online events (e.g. webinars).
  • Being active on moodle.org, making regular posts targeted at community engagement initiatives.

This role can be based anywhere in Europe! In Spain as an employee, or as a Contractor everywhere else - just let us know where you are when you apply.

Requirements

We'd love to meet you…

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

  • Experience leading a team using Agile project management methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; other languages a bonus.
  • Research and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work closely at all levels with all stakeholders and build relationships.
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to both work independently and within a team.
  • Experience as a Moodle community member, or a member of another open-source software company.
  • Strong understanding of how open source communities function.
