Moodle Technical Development Analyst, IT Services
As the 4th largest college of the University of London,
Queen Mary is looking for a talented Moodle Technical Development Analyst who
is seeking a new challenge in a diverse applications group.
A key part of the role will be the operation of our
enterprise E-Learning systems - such as the Moodle virtual learning environment
- working with Apache httpd, MySQL databases and IP network protocols in a
Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) environment.
You will be responsible for installation, configuration
and maintenance, as well as working closely with business users to plan,
implement, test, document and provide 2nd/3rd line technical support for our
world-class e-Learning systems.
Your experience should include a number of the
and configuration of Moodle servers
depth knowledge of PHP Moodle development and performance testing.
SQL queries, and the Moodle data model.
command-line tools, including grep, diff, cron, ssh, scp, vi, MySQL, etc.
for version control and deployment.
file analysis using tools such as advanced text editors, Perl, diff, sed, grep,
networks, including problem-solving using GUI and command-line tools.
You will have excellent analysis, problem solving, and
inter-personal/communications skills, both written and oral, with the ability
to effectively communicate your knowledge to a varied audience.
Start date: ASAP
Initial contract: In the first instance 3 months.
Rate: Dependant on experience.
