Job offered: Maths Drilling Tool

Type: Contract
Location: Virtual

CURRENTLY INTERVIEWING AND NOT ACCEPTING NEW APPLICANTS.

We’re looking to build a tool that drills some basic maths facts (such as bonds-through-10 or multiplication tables, etc) for our students. See video below:

We’d want to build this to live inside moodle somehow and then feed into the gradebook (or a custom-built gradebook if necessary). We want to measure time taken to complete a set of questions.

So, for example: we’d have 10 randomly ordered questions on the 2-times table and a student can move to the next question only after correctly answering a question. At the end of the question set, their time is recorded and becomes a target for them to improve. We’d like to keep a record of each a student’s time on each attempt, be able to sort via group/cohort. A live leader-board would be especially appealing feature.

The main difference from how a standard moodle questions operates is that it has to be instantly responsive to mark correct or incorrect and deliver the next question (as in video which we built in wordpress but had very limited integration into moodle).
