Job offered: Senior PHP Developer

Type: Full-time
Location: Brisbane, QLD, Australia

Catalyst IT Australia is part of a global team of skilled open source technologists. We specialise in developing, designing and supporting enterprise grade systems using open source technologies. Open source is not just what we do, it's what we stand for. Diversity and inclusion are important at Catalyst, please see our Diversity Policy (https://www.catalyst-au.net/content/diversity-policy-english-version),

We are growing fast and we're looking for a team member to take some of the project load of the multiple projects under way.

Some of the other technologies we work with are Javascript, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Linux server and desktop environments. Experience working with PHP frameworks such as Moodle and Drupal will be looked upon favourably but not essential. Contributions to existing open source projects is a big plus, as is having an active Github account.

As part of our application process, we will offer a practical coding challenge for you to complete from the comfort of your own home or office, so you can show us what you can do.

This position is full-time in our Brisbane CBD office. We also have offices in Sydney and Melbourne.

Everyone at Catalyst is there to provide the very best in open source development, systems management and support for our clients. Catalyst offers a supportive and open work environment that also fosters individual responsibility and initiative. We also offer flexible working hours, and opportunities for our team to grow and expand their skill sets, including training, conference attendance and mentoring.

If you have a passion for open source technology and feel you can help us meet our demand, then send us your resume. Also include a Cover Letter telling us about you and why you are interested in the role. Please include references to any publicly available open-source work or examples of relevant work.

Also, we will only respond to applications from individuals and will not enter into correspondence with recruitment agents.

Applicants for this position must have AU residency or a valid AU work visa.
