The JATC669 Sprinkler Fitter Education Program is administered by Washtenaw Community College to provide online course training to over 2,400 United Association Local 669 Sprinkler Fitter Apprentices across 46 states. This primary role of this position is to manage the front-end of our Moodle LMS (Learning Management System) and to contribute to the department’s course revision process; working with Instructional Designers and SMEs to build quiz question pools and integrate new online applications and text materials to our Moodle LMS. As a secondary role, the JATC669 Web & LMS Administrator also provides technical support to student users by phone and email while serving as the department’s in-house systems troubleshooter. A typical day in this position will require frequent multi-tasking between LMS content management, responding to customer service requests, and student records processing. This position requires a broad range of abilities from software proficiency to excellent written and verbal communication skills to having an eye for eLearning design, organization and presentation. This position will be tasked to work on both independent and team projects. Knowledge of sprinkler fitting is not required.
