Azusa Pacific Online University is looking for an Instructional Technology Specialist collaborates with eLearning Architect/Manager to design, build, implement and support an online instructional strategies and infrastructure to support online learning. This includes supporting the creation and integration of rich media, pedagogy and instructional design models, and communities of practice. The position promotes best practices in teaching, learning and instructional design methodologies through building and maintaining strong working relationships with faculty members. Visit website for information and to apply: https://www.applicantstack.com/client/apou/x/detail/a2e5dxl1w8q9 Knowledge/Skills • Solid and current knowledge of web and social technologies/media, instructional design, education and/or distance learning theory • Production experience in an elearning, or online learning, training, or digital media environment, including experience/competence in designing and developing courses using HTML, Javascript (or other web development languages), Flash, Adobe Captivate, and learning management systems (i.e., Moodle) • Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain high levels of creativity and quality • Demonstrated experience working with subject matter experts and collaboratively with faculty on the development of online course content • Experience with adult learners • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet project deadlines, and work on multiple ongoing projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail • Self-starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures in a complex university setting • Ability to be proactive, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and work with little supervision • A positive, cooperative, Christ-like attitude supportive of the University and its mission • A “servant’s heart” that delights in providing the highest quality academic support services • Multimedia/Technology – video and audio capturing/editing software, graphic design, HTML, java script, social media, Adobe Creative Suite software such as Captivate, Flash, video formatting
